Perspective
This course's objective is not only to tackle the perspective system itself, but to explore the general problem of representing three-dimensional spaces and objects on a two-dimensional surface. This course will help students to facilitate and speed up the process of drawing from observation and will also give students the knowledge that will allow them to draw and compose from imagination. The class is designed for students of all levels. The first eight sessions will be devoted to basic principles of linear perspective and projection systems. Session Eight will cover painting, especially landscape. Sessions Nine through Fifteen will be an overview of more advanced perspective problems. The relation of perspective and composition will be covered as well as the techniques of achieving three-dimensional illusion.
